PATEF 9th Midyear Convention

PATEF National Convention 2012
The Philippine Association for Teachers of Educational Foundations (PATEF) will hold its 2012 National Convention with the theme "The Philippine Education System: Updates, Directions and Implications to Teacher Education" on July 5 to 7, 2012 at the Bayview Park Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. This 3-day gathering of teacher educators, administrators of TEIs, basic education teachers, and other stakeholders in education aims to provide a venue for the participants to: 1) be updated on the current issues and directions of the Philippine Education System; 2) draw implications on teacher education from the discussions on curriculum, instruction, assessment and research; and 3) share insights and practices on how to improve teacher education in the Philippines. The registration fee is four thousand pesos (Php4,000) inclusive of convention kit, snacks, and lunch. Active members can avail of a 10% discount upon presentation of their membership ID. This will be held on November 25 to 27, 2011 at the Palawan State University Performing Arts Center, Tiniguiban Campus, Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan.
8th PATEF Midyear Convention Theme: Internationalization of Education: Key to Global Competitiveness
This 3-day gathering of teacher educators, administrators of TEIs, basic education teachers, and other stakeholders in education aims to: 1) expose participants to trends, processes, and practices in internationalizing educational institutions for global competitiveness; 2) enable participants to plan research possible for international publication and other actions to help improve one's institution to reach its target level of internationalization; 3) provide a venue for discussing implications of internationalizing education to produce globally competitive citizens; and 4) to improve education across levels to be at par with international benchmarks.
